Fall Ball
Fall Ball 2011 season is complete!
Thanks to all who participated, see you all next season!
For those that may be interested, here’s some general information.
Fall Ball is a second fun season designed to give SCSL members additional play and interaction with league members in a more relaxed setting. You may join as a whole team or let me know you wish to play and are looking for a team.
Although the League is predominately designed to support SCSL members, it is not directly run by the league.
Games will be Saturday afternoons at Devlin Field, starting in September. Play will be as follows:
- One division for all players – open to all, not just people that played this season in SCSL
- Cost to players is $5 for the whole season. Money will go to pay for a cook out and some beer at the fields – dates tbd
- Field Permits are in the works and will be donated by 5801
- Players must sign an injury waiver, SCSL insurance does not carry over to this league
- There are no formal umpires, players will umpire games themselves
- Rosters are not strictly enforced. Players from another team can play to fill in if needed
- Games start with a 1-1 count and run 55 minutes with games scheduled every 60 minutes
- One foul ball permitted after 2 strikes
- Courtesy runners as needed
